To put it simply, sports bikes are awesome machines. Sports bikes are replicas of racing bikes, but they ave been specially designed by the manufacturers to make them street-legal and safe. Built for fantastic speeds and performance, these powerful bikes can top out at speeds in excess of 180 mph. Well, whether or not the bike is dangerous depends more on the rider than the bike.
Sport bikes may offer quick acceleration, but they also have excellent braking and cornering abilities. Used properly, these attributes should make these bikes safe for anybody to ride. Riding such bikes takes a bit of skill that only comes with experience. Unskilled riders on these bikes can be a menace on the streets. Sports bikes are designed to be streamlined and as aerodynamic as possible, compared to other bikes. When it comes to speed, sports bikes have some of the fastest acceleration around. A fantastic example of a sports bike is the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14. This stock sports bike can reach an astounding 90 mph in 2.5 seconds and a quarter of a mile in 9 seconds flat.
Motorcycles are categorized in three classes. They are the dual-sport, off-road and street classes. One good example of a motorcycle that belongs to the street categorization is the sport bike. There are a number of design fundamentals that most sport bikes will share. They usually feature a fairly high performance engine concealed within a lightweight frame. A sport bike may or may not have fairings. Sport bikes are not officially distinguished by any key motorcycle organization. One example of these classes is the Kawasaki Ninja 500R/250R and Suzuki GS500E entry-level bikes. Those in this class are motorcycles which are intended to bring motorcyclists to the sport bike model. There are also Small capacity sport bikes that are designed with smaller 50 cc engine. Although the bikes of this class have less power than the larger ones, they can still perform relatively. Middleweight or super sport are another class of sport bikes. Some good examples of super sport bikes include the Triumph Daytona 675, Honda CBR600RR, Suzuki GSX-R600 and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
